Plant machinery to feature in Hollywood production 131

Hollywood is abuzz with rumours of the forthcoming Michael Bay production "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". One of these of particular interest to the plant hire industry is that seven construction vehicles will form the giant robot "Devastator" in the film, and the make and colour of each of the vehicles has been confirmed.

From the list, it is likely that Devastator will be formed from an excavator, a wheel loader, a cement mixer, a truss crane, a bulldozer and two dump trucks. To be more specific, one of the vehicles used will be a red O&K/Terex RH400, which is a hydraulic mining excavator.

Three others are a yellow wheel loader, Caterpillar 992G, a green dump truck, Caterpillar 773B and a beige bulldozer, Caterpillar D9L. The rest of the possible vehicles to be used are a silver or white Mack cement mixer, a red articulated dump truck, Komatsu HD465-7, and a yellow truss crane, Kobelco CK2500.

It will be interesting to see plant equipment featuring so prominently on the big screen!
