JCB Hire Companies
JCB are one of the leading manufacturers of plant hire equipment in the world and there are a large number of hire companies that stock JCB's in the United Kingdom. JCB produce a wide range of high quality plant and tool equipment, including mini diggers, excavators, Telehandlers, 360° excavators, bulldozers and dumpers, much of which you can hire at a variety of stockists. Whilst most people know the brand name JCB through plant hire companies they actually supply a large portion of thier machinery (notably construction, agricultural and handling equipment) to trade rather than to the general public. JCB was founded as a family business in October 1945 in Staffordshire by Joseph Cyril Bamford. The first vehicle they ever created was a farm trailer that was created from surplus left over from the war, and by 1948 there were six employees in the company and they developed the first hydraulic tipping trailer in Europe.
JCB continued to expand their reputation with the first backhoe loader, and by 1964 they had sold over 3000 units. JCB themselves have over 17 factories across Europe, North and South America, India and China. JCB boast a range of over 250 products and operations in over 150 countries, so if you are looking to hire plant equipment JCB has a wide range to choose from! When you do hire plant equipment you should always bear safety in mind; when you take delivery of your plant machinery from the hire firm you will be given a short safety briefing and sometimes a demonstration regarding the safe operation of the machinery from the hire staff; always listen carefully and ask questions if any occur and if you are ever unsure about anything ask the staff at your chosen hire company; they are very knowledgeable in the industry and will be able to offer helpful advice.
